This idol is made up of Nine Grains considered very holy and are part of Hindu religious ceremonies. Worshipping Navavadhanya Idol has been a very effective and time-tested Vedic ritual which can enable a person for attainment of good health, education and knowledge, huge wealth, domestic peace and prosperity and well-rounded success and renown in life. Navadhanya are the nine grains that are offered to the Navgrahas (nine planets). They are also part of other Hindu pujas and rituals. Black Seasame is offered to Shani or Saturn. Bengal Gram is offered to Jupiter or Guru or Brihaspathi. Horse Gram is offered to Ketu. Green Gram is offered to Mercury or Budh. Rice is offered to Chandra or Soma. White beans is offered to Venus or Shukra. Chic peas is offered to Mars or Mangal. Black Gram is offered to Rahu. Wheat is offered to Sun or Surya.
